Expedition Dossier

Designation: Anton L. Caterlain
Role: Correspondence Officer
Primary Function: Documentation, structure, and quality control
Secondary Function: Editorial presence and visual oversight

Anton is responsible for ensuring absolute clarity across all expedition records.

Every document, every image, and every field note passes — formally or informally — through his review.

Standards are not suggested. They are enforced.

Background

Anton has always believed that everything must have a clear structure.

From an early age, he began organizing, sorting, and documenting things — even when there was, objectively, nothing to document.

An incident from an earlier phase is considered decisive:

Anton spent several hours cataloging a collection of leaves by size, color, and shape.

The leaves were never found again.

The documentation, however, was complete.

Since then, one principle applies:

If something exists, it is recorded by Anton.

And if it is not recorded, it is reasonable to question whether it exists at all.

Notable Contributions

  • Founder and publisher of 4PAWS Magazine

  • Established the expedition’s documentation standards

  • Has yet to approve a single “casual” photograph - and has no intention of starting

Leisure Preferences

  • Sleeping. His life is, after all, extremely demanding.

  • He deliberately seeks out controlled environments with minimal disruption
and prefers quiet observation over active participation.

  • Exception: secret jungle herb – The Buschkraut –

  • → results in temporarily uncontrollable behavior

  • → in other words: complete loss of composure, well, he completely goes bonkers

Personal Motto

„If it isn’t properly documented, it didn’t happen."

Field Data

  • Species: Cat

  • BreedDomestic shorthair (official, yet clearly insufficient as a full description)

  • Fur Profile: Black, white, and subtle tabby variations — exceptionally balanced in contrast and pattern, with a level of visual harmony rarely observed in comparable specimens

  • Age: Not disclosed. Not discussed. Not relevant.

  • WeightWithin the optimal range – of course.

  • Build / StructureConsistently well-proportioned (one does not mention the well-formed, slightly rounded belly)

  • Distinctive FeatureThe only member wearing glasses (it is not known whether he actually needs them)

  • ConditionThe pencil is always sharpened.

Known Weaknesses

Low tolerance for disorder or change

Has yet to acknowledge that not everything can be controlled

Archive Status

Status: Active

Classification: Verified Field Operative

Documentation ongoing.

Standards maintained.

Everything is recorded.

Of course.
