Jungle Expedition
A research team consisting of one canine & four felines — known as the Maya Jungle Crew — was deployed to a largely unexplored region of the Riviera Maya.
The objective of the mission is to document observations, investigate clues, and uncover previously unknown connections — while following the course of an unfolding expedition.
What initially began as a routine expedition quickly developed into somethingthat cannot be fully explained.

The Mission
In late summer 2025, an expedition team, composed of highly qualified researchers and supporting units, was dispatched to investigate a remote area deep within the dense, partially unexplored jungle of the Riviéra Maya.
Accounts from earlier expeditions, along with long-standing legends, suggest that somewhere within a hidden cenote in the region lies an artifact of particular interest.
There are references to a so-called “Golden Cookie,” which is said to have remained perfectly preserved over an as yet undetermined period of time.
According to these accounts, possession of the cookie ensures that its holder neither experiences hunger nor any other form of deprivation. It is also said to grant its owner an exceptional sense of inner balance, along with a permanently flawless outward appearance.
While the research team as a whole maintains a strictly scientific interest in the cookie, for Cooper von Seidenfell, the prospect of endless, immaculate beauty would fulfill a long-standing personal concern. Though he would never admit this openly, he would undoubtedly sleep more soundly knowing the cookie was in his possession.
For Chloe Delacour, however, the primary focus lies on the structural integrity of the object, the precise analysis of which is considered essential.
Baloo von Mitten shows particular interest in its practical handling, as well as its potential physical properties.
Luna has been assigned to general situational observation and the assessment of unexpected developments and, as it turns out, is usually right in the middle of things rather than merely observing them.
Anton L. Caterlain contributes primarily through his continuous, impeccable presence and remains at all times prepared for any potential social occasion.
Documentation & Access
All developments are continuously documented.
Due to transmission delays and restricted access, these records have only recently been made available.
The monthly dispatches include selected excerpts from these records—complemented by found objects, visual documentation, and materials secured over the course of the expedition.
Each dispatch represents an independent part of this documentation.

Current Developments
Since August 8, 2025, all on-site observations have been systematically documented.
In addition to unusual tracks and fragments that are difficult to classify, there are indications that a research team had previously been present in this area—whose whereabouts remain unknown.
Some of the recovered materials suggest that the termination of their activities may not have been entirely voluntary.
The investigation of these findings is currently part of the ongoing mission.

Behind the Scenes of the Expedition
Behind the expedition are real people
— Kim and her mom, Bella.
What began as an idea turned into an actual journey — leaving a familiar life behind, crossing countries, and starting anew in the Riviera Maya.
The animals that are part of the expedition were — with few exceptions — not created for a story.
They are real rescue companions, each with their own personality — which, over time, became part of the expedition itself.
Many elements of the story are inspired by real moments, experiences, and objects.
Some of them, admittedly, are slightly exaggerated.
Others… less so.
The so-called “Golden Cookie,” for example, was not entirely fictional.
It originated from an actual object — a six-inch cookie that was accidentally…
slightly overprepared in their former vegan restaurant.
It was preserved, documented, and at one point intended to be framed.
Its current location, however, remains unknown.
The line between reality & storytelling is not always clearly defined.
And that is exactly as intended.
